About
Adam Gerrard spent 22 years at EY, the last seven as an Assurance Partner in Singapore. His job, in plain terms, was to be the person institutional investors, boards and regulators relied on to tell them whether the numbers held up.
He trained in London in EY's Financial Services team, working on some of the world's largest financial institutions, and was promoted to Senior Manager in six years on the firm's fast-track programme. In 2009 he moved to Singapore, and in 2017 was admitted as a Partner.
As a Partner he served banks, cross-border payments companies, digital asset exchanges, investment funds and fund managers, venture capital funds and commodity traders, with work spanning internal controls reviews, regulatory compliance, external audit and acquisition due diligence.
From 2019 to 2024 he also led EY's Assurance blockchain practice across Asia-Pacific: building a business in a sector with no settled standards, sceptical regulators and no playbook, and making it stand up to institutional scrutiny. Building credible finance where none existed before turned out to be excellent preparation for working with founders and owners.
After a career break, he founded Gerrard & Co in 2026 with a simple idea: bring the standard of finance leadership that large institutions take for granted to companies that would not usually have access to it, and do it as a fellow founder who knows the pains and the pace first-hand.
Adam has lived in Singapore for 17 years and is a Permanent Resident. Away from work he is learning golf, with more enthusiasm than progress so far, and practises yoga.

What clients come back for
Not just fixing today's issue, but seeing the one forming behind it, and putting the solution in place before it costs you money, time or credibility.
Finance touches everything: product decisions, hiring plans, investor expectations, regulation. The value is in connecting them, and getting quickly to grips with whatever is new.
Boards, investors, banks, regulators, auditors, founders and owners. Two decades of sitting between these groups means knowing what each one actually needs to hear, and how to say it.
